It does not start in Washington. It starts at a county convention nobody attended and a ballot line nobody filled. We put money and tools into the county parties and local campaigns that contest those races, in the places national donors skip.

We started Stop MAGA after watching local seats go uncontested cycle after cycle. We raise from small donors and move the money to county parties and first-time candidates fast enough to matter before a filing deadline. Everything we fund is listed on this site, down to the receipt.
No office wins by default
A seat that goes uncontested is not a loss, it is a forfeit. We exist to end forfeits: to fund recruitment, filing, and the unglamorous local work that turns a blank ballot line into a race, in the counties everyone else writes off.
